Bank3000 is based on a modern development platform that enables its quick implementation on the present hardware, with maximum flexibility for upgrades that will correspond with the growth of the bank operations. The chosen elements on which Bank3000 is based represent the leading world standards: Oracle database and dotNET programming technology, which enables its implementation on every server platform. Primary here is the implementation of the Linux operating system, and with that avoiding the expenses for obtaining server licenses. It also enables a start with simplified server hardware, keeping the commodity and productivity of Windows client work environment. The system is integrated with the biggest office packages on the market: Microsоft Office, StarOffice and OpenOffice, giving You the opportunity to use the package that gives You the biggest strategic advantage and is most cost effective.

General Ledger module

The General Ledger represents the finalization of banking IT environment from which all the reports and indicators are created. In the Bank3000 system, the General Ledger is transparently connected with all the modules in the system, and all changes made in the transactions in any of the modules cause booking actions in the General Ledger. The transactions are connected between each other and every transaction is dependent on the cause/consequence relationship. Each transaction is automatically entered in the General Ledger as it is entered in the corresponding module - no additional bookings or entries are required. This refers for all the modules in the system.

The automatic booking, which is triggered with the execution of transactions isn’t the only way to enter transactions in the General Ledger. Direct entry of transactions is also allowed, such as making changes or reversal of the transactions. The chart of accounts used in Bank3000 is issued by Central Bank, and the system allows for its expansion with new accounts, which can later be included in the transaction system.

The General Ledger reports (balance sheet, GL account positions, GL account movement) are fully implemented. This module also contains a large number of specific reports that are produced based on different criteria and a result of the integration of the General Ledger module and the other modules.

Front Office module

As a complete integrated banking information system, Bank3000 implements the full teller work, with support for the typical teller hardware – printers (laser, inkjet, passbook), exchange rates boards, etc.

All types of customer transactions are implemented in the Teller module, as is a full exchange office. The whole procedure of teller work: initial positions, opening and closing of teller day, transfer of funds – between cashiers, and between cashier and treasury, are automatized and connected with the General Ledger.

The module is also equipped with a large number of reports which give a full picture of the teller work: reports for cashier balances and total balance, different views of committed transactions generated and grouped by many kinds of criteria, complete exchange office reports for Central Bank , and many more.

Back Office module

A Back office module is also implemented, and is used for entering transactions that are not received electronically or at the teller. There are different levels of authorization for the back office workers, and the transactions entered in the back office are also connected with the General Ledger.

Savings module

The Savings module in Bank3000 is used for managing local and foreign currency savings accounts. It also contains integrated and automated procedures for interest calculation, and a number of detailed reports.

Sight deposits, different types of term deposits, and access to the savings account to additional users are all managed in the savings module. The different ways of handling the savings accounts, like monthly withdrawal of interest or adding the interest amount to the savings deposit are all automated, with no need for user interventions. The printing of reports in this module is executed directly trough your Office package.

The level of integration of the system enables a entered new savings account to be immediately accessible in all the branches of the bank, with no need for waiting or additional synchronization. The deposits/withdrawals are also momentarily executed and synchronized in the General Ledger.

Current Account module

The Current Account module in Bank3000 is developed in order to enable the management of current accounts for individuals and for companies. The grouping of the current accounts is done by many different criteria, and different parameters for handling the current accounts are given to the groups. This type of organization enables easy forming of client „packages“, without delays in the account handling. This module also has a fully automated check issuing feature, based on the criteria defined by the administrator (balance, allowed negative balance, number of checks … ) and hardware management – check coders and envelope printers.

All the required reports – internal, for the use of the Bank, and external – client statements, reports for Central Bank – are fully implemented and integrated in Bank3000.

Similar to the other modules, the Current Accounts module is also connected to the General Ledger, and all the changes made in the accounts in this module are reflected in the General Ledger, which increases the speed of the period closing processes and enables data processing on a daily base.

Loans module

As one of the most complex aspects of banking, the Loans module of the Bank3000 application has been produced with special attention. The whole process of loan issuing – from the loan application submission to the liquidation of the loan – is fully managed. Every step in the lifespan of the loan has corresponding data in the system.

All the elements of the loan politics of the Bank are carefully monitored – from the employment, personal and financial data of the client, the analysis of the loan credibility of the client trough a process of prescoring, to the realization of the loan in cash or trough accounts and the monitoring of the repayment discipline.

The reports of the loan activities are designed to enable an realistic, accurate and easy to follow view of the loan data. The daily and periodical reports for Central Bank are completely implemented, and the high level of integration enables their regular and accurate deliverance with minimum requirements.

National Payment System module

The National Payment System module is one of the main modules of Bank3000, and is a necessary module for executing the payment system operations of the client banks in the country. The module is implemented in banks which cover more than 25% of the PS transactions in the country. It is one of the greatest features of the Bank3000 system.
Besides the implementation of all the transactions in the payment system, a full automation of the processes of communication with the KIBS and MIPS system is also a feature of Bank3000. The transactions are encrypted and sent in the most cost effective way for the bank, and all the incoming data is automatically processed. This method of work increases the speed of all processes, and supplies the clients with information about their accounts in minimum amount of time after the closing of the working day in KIBS and MIPS. This module also contains the complete treasury module with it’s reports.

Payment Cards module

With the newest technology for non-cash payments, a payments cards module has been implemented in Bank3000. The payment cards transactions are received according the control and management standards with ATM and POS terminals, with whom the communication is executed with the ISO8583 standard, if the bank has the necessary hardware for operating this terminals. If a bank decides to use the services of the National Payment Card, Bank3000 offers a interface which enables hybrid online communication.

In most of the banks that work with payment cards, because of the difference between the software that works with the payment cards and regular transactions, there is no real integration between the bank account of the clients (current, savings account, etc.) and their credit cards. The implementation of the Bank3000 software overcomes this limitations, trough account consolidation. In Bank3000 the payment card of the customer is treated like an additional account of the customer, and the transfer of funds between the payment card and other accounts is much easier.

When using the Major Brand payment cards in the country there is a problem with the authorization of transactions. With the Bank3000 system, it is possible to execute a local reauthorization of transactions, and with that to save time and avoid telephone calls to processing centers out of the country in order to authorize the transactions. The transactions for which authorization isn’t necessary (or transactions up to a amount defined by the banks) can be processed immediately.

Equities module

Being a complete banking application, Bank3000 includes the Equities module. Developed by the specifications of the Brokerage houses and the requirements of the Macedonian Stock Exchange Market, the Bank3000 Equities module is a integral part of this complete banking work.

A full evidence of the client brokerage accounts is included in this module, and is, like all the components of the Bank3000 software – fully connected to the rest of the system. The processed transactions (that are automatically transferred on the stock exchange market) can be , like all the other transactions, automatically booked and transferred on the customers account (current, savings or any other account in the same bank)..

Most of the reports in this module are compatible to the Office packages, which provides extra flexibility when sending them to the Stock Exchange Market , or storing them for future use.
